Difficulty Modes

Checked August 21, 2026. Recheck the official Frogwares difficulty FAQ on Steam after balance or accessibility patches.

Four combat settings

1. Sweet Dreams — the least demanding combat choice.
2. Restless Slumber — the normal/balanced choice.
3. Hard Night — a harder survival-combat setting.
4. Sleep Demon — the most demanding listed setting.

The official FAQ says combat difficulty can be changed from Pause → Options → Gameplay → Select Difficulty. Aim Assist is a separate setting in the same Gameplay area.

Completion restrictions

The Xbox and PlayStation lists checked on the review date do not publish a trophy or achievement whose displayed requirement names one of the four difficulty levels. That is not permission to generalize about separate in-game challenge systems or future list updates. Read the exact live objective before lowering difficulty during a challenge run.
