The site initially fetches the official YouTube thumbnail from i.ytimg.com, so that request may expose your IP address and request metadata to YouTube or Google before you activate anything. The site does not create a YouTube player until you activate the play button. Only after you activate it does a privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com player iframe load; YouTube and Google may then process data or use cookies under their own policies.
